Social security gets 15 cents. Tax man gets 15-31 cents depending on annualized income. Each exemption (1) cuts this by 1-3 cents. So a person earning 20K with 8 kids pays no taxes.

Not sure what I claimed, but taxes took 1 out of every 5 days of pay. 4/5 days were actually going into my pocket

depends what state you work in and how much you make. Federal income tax is 15% on the first 50,000 of taxable income; and 28% on the amount above that. If you make more than $200,000, then I think it goes up to 30%, but only on the amout above the $200k.

.10 cents but it depends on what taxes are you talking about...just federal witholdings would be about 10%, but FICA and SS would add to that total....plus depending on which state you live in that total could go up more. But just federal withholding is about 10%

when you get paid some of the taxes you pay are, 1.45% HI,6.2 %OASDI. That's just for starters.Any way it goes they take way to much. To get more money on tax day save your receipts from your gas and itemize when you file.
