This is not likely the answer, but its a tid bit of interesting info. Perhaps it goes way back (psychologically) to the cultural traditions of marriage in the native country. Take for example the Igbos in Nigeria. In choosing a bride, they favoured larger women, as it was a sign of preparedness for the roles of housewife and mother. They even went as far as to confine women in a hut for some period of time before a wedding, feeding her excessive calories and providing little exercise, so that she would actually become "fatter."
Personally, I think its just a personal preference that many guys happen to share. Just a fluke. We all have specific characteristics that we find attractive. This just tends to be a common one.

Not all black men are attracted to larger women. Race is irrelevant, it's just a matter of personal preference.

I have no idea! I wonder that myself. I think that is a little weird. What do they have that is so much better? I know! Some black men go for the big girls because they know that they are more gullable and more likely to go over board to please them because they are so happy to have a man. I also think that sex has a lot to do with it as well. Some black guys are just that triffling.

that's like asking why are black men attracted to skinny women....its their preference,maybe they see something in that individual that just looks and feels nice.....

Maybe they assume they are good cooks?
I kind of thought (and this is really stupid of me) that black guys liked the bigger girls because - well many black guys have large D!(ks and the heavier set girls can take it better.
