recognize it and live in total peace with it if Israel returned all lands it has occupied since the 1967 six day war (that would include dimantling all settlements built on such lands), how many of you think Israel would or should agree to such terms?

Israel DID agree to those terms. The muslim response was "Death to Israel", "Death to America". Hezbollah's genocidal attack is a direct result of thinking like yours.

Or to put it another way, muslims are evil murderers and have no intention of holding up their end of the bargain in any peace deal , EVER. They never have and they never will.

Israel has bent over backwards to make peave with them....to the point of sacrificing its welfare and its citizens. This has only invited war.

It is actually immoral to make peace under the circumstances. What you are doing is failing in your duty to protect your loves ones and appeasing evil....making it grow.

What is needed here is war. Israel needs to destroy its enemies. It is the only honorable thing to do.

I doubt it. I have never been to the Middle East but friends I know that have tell me that Israel is so small that the lands they have taken in past wars is hardly enough to give it breathing space. For example, the Golan Heights is like a hill overlooking the heart of Israel - a perfect strategic position to blast Israel. When you are a small country surrounded by numerous countries (excluding Egypt and Jourdan) and terrorist groups that have vowed to destroy you, you have to do what you can to survive. Plus leaving Lebanon 6 years ago (with a guarantee of a cease fire, Ha) and the return of the Gaza Strip only brought on more aggression from Hamas and time for Hezbollah to fill Southern Lebanon up to the brim with rockets. Land for peace is dead. The Arabs, Persians, and Palestinians have proven that. Remember, this is life and death. If the Arabs would put down their weapons there would be peace. If the Israelis put down their weapons, there would be no Israel. Israel's neighbors are determined to eliminate it. If they took all the time that consumes them to destroy Israel and cooperated with Israel and neighboring countries for peace, the Palestinians could have a vibrant, economically thriving country. But no, for over 50 years they are obsessed with hate and live with corrupt governments. The end result is poverty and hopelessness.

I don't think they would. After all, winner gets the spoils, and Israel wone. Also, you are talking the cost of millions if not billions of dollars to evacuate those people, build new homes for them, and then tear down the towns. That's just stupid at that point. Even when they've given land to Palestinians, they left the buildings standing so they could be occupied by others.

Israel has agreed to such terms many many times over the last 30 years. They've obviously had enough bending over backwards only to have some terrorist organization demand more from them, and kidnap their military.

None of those lands belong to arab nations, Israel is basically America II. If Lebanon continues to screw with them the US will carpet bomb them. Everyhing bad that happens in the middle east is to the US's advantage.

This is about hostages and all escalation of many many years. About land now I think is not what is on their minds at the present. You have a good point though.
