Why do people see this as dirty? This is what breasts are FOR.

I'm not in the least offended. I love to see a mom breastfeeding her baby. It's the most natural thing in the world. Here in America, in particular, women's breasts have been so sexualized that all they see is a naked breast, not a mom nursing her infant. It's a sad state of affairs.

When I was a young, first-time mother, we lost some supposedly good friends because I wanted to breastfeed my son in the living room in front of them. They didn't want me to. We never saw or heard from them again.

And what about places that send nursing mothers into the bathroom to feed their babies. Who wants to eat in the bathroom? The dirtiest room in the place?

It's time Americans got their minds out of the gutter.

I'm not offended, but I would like to point out that that photo does not show an actual breast feeding. It's a staged photo with the child in a vertical position as if he just walked up to Mom and latched on.

I thought it was a little primal but it is a fact of life. Also was artistically done. The only thing that was bared was the side of the breast. If you have a problem with seeing a woman's breast then you need to get out more and see more than your own boobies.

I breast fed for one year my son. Most natural thing to do and good for them. I was private about it but I never make a nursing mother feel offended one bit. Those that feel offended do not understand that God gave us breast for just that. Guess many are so conformed to the world and what others think. Not me. Hooray for nursing moms!

Why would it be offending? Women have been breastfeeding since the beginning of life.

I'm not sure. I breast-fed for a year and it was as natural as can be. I didn't do it all out and showing, but was very discrete.

Because those people are idiots, and are just a few readers that like to make noice, and have something to complain about.
