******************************...
Rather's "unsubstantiated story of Bush's military service" (says USA Today) got him canned. Yet, all the poor man did was repeat a story the Brits put on BBC Television a year earlier -- that Poppy Bush put in the fix to get his son out of 'Nam and into the Texas Air Guard, spending his war years guarding Houston from Viet Cong attack.
But Dan never reported this: the documentation from inside the US Department of Justice detailing the fix. Why not? Because it opened up a far more serious charge: that those who kept Little George out of war's way ended up very well rewarded. The BBC, the world's biggest network, ran that full story -- from the evidence of the fix to the evidence of the lucrative pay-backs -- and the BBC never retracted a comma of it. Nor, by the way, has the White House denied our accusations despite our repeated offers to respond.
George's slithering out of combat turned into big pay-days for those in on the fix and its cover-up: Harriett Miers (remember her?), Karen Hughes and Texas lobbyists.

Ken you are correct. I can just as easily state that I took the same MENSA test and scored 97 percentile making only 3% of those who took the test smarter then me.
Oh, and obviously Bush can't run the country, he's nothing but a puppet just like most presidents in the past few decades. And the one who refused to be a puppet was assassinated.

Am I the only one that remembers 9/11?
Am I the only one that remembers that Bush said we are going over there to weaken terrorism in the Middle East so as to immobilize it where it originates to weaken the chance of them being able to strike the U.S like they did on 9/11?
Am I the only one that realizes that we haven’t been attacked since 9/11?
Am I the only one that sees the terrorists in action every day in Iraq????
Helloooooo!!!!!!! You think that may be why we are there?????????
Am I the only one that sees that terrorism most definantly originates in the Middle East?
Am I the only one that sees that terrorists are all over the Middle East not just Afghanistan???
SO THEN I ASK YOU FINALLY, AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT SEES THE CORRELATION BETWEEN STABILIZING THE MIDDLE EAST SO AS TO NIP IT IN THE BUD BEFORE IT REACHES ALL TIME HIGHS HERE IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA?
Every time Al-Qaeda claims an attack in Iraq they validate what Bush said "We have to crush the terrorists where they originate, so as to make American citizens safer."
And its not we shouldn’t be messing with them, its they shouldn’t have messed with us!!!!!!!!!!!!
And remember, it’s our soldiers putting they’re lives on the line everyday that you even have the right to whine about the war. Why don’t you thank Bush for another day that this war has brought you a step closer to long term safety and stability. Ensuring that you can go to Starbucks during your brunch everyday and whine about it for years and years to come without being interrupted by suicide bombers that claim to be peaceful right before press a button on there suicide vest.
My wife was a contractor in Iraq last year. She told me stories that would warm your heart. A woman that cried while thanking our soldiers because her child was finally able to go to school because of them. Why doesn’t the media portray good things so as to balance the bad things that happen as well? I am ashamed of our American media. Don’t pretend things are all rosy but don’t pretend like its 100% **** either. It’s called balance. A balanced media.Thats what I want. A balanced media approach. Not a biased media.
Thank You,

First, get the facts straight....he was in the National Guard, the whole time....and it was investigated, and found to be above board, and legal.....Now your Boy Clinton stayed out of country the whole time.....to avoid the draft.....BBC reports. But I assume you find it alright not to serve the country, than to do so....and rich don't stand up for rich.....Kerry is the richest in goevernment...and he isn't standing up for anyone

Does anyone else here think that "isaac" (see above)is a little full of himself.
"I have taken a formal mensa IQ test and was rated in the top 96 percentile in the United States. In other words only 4% of the U.S. population are smarter than myself."
I get the impression that stands in front of the mirror and jacks off to himself.

Those are sensationalised stories. After Clinton was elected, the standards changed. Clinton was the first president since FDR who did not serve in the military at all.

I can find as many twelve year old boys Bush has had sex with as Republicans can find people who served with Bush in the phantom Alabama Air Guard unit Bush was assigned to.

It just kills me how people think just because your conservative you are rich. We are trying to make it like everyone else with the exception of we fight harder to keep the liberals the hell out of our wallets. The President didn't run away from any thing.

When Bush ended his first term, it should have been obvious to voters that he had the IQ of a carpet. Having ascertained that he did, in fact, have the IQ of a carpet, the voters gave him a second term. Makes you wonder about the IQ of the voters!
