you can get proteins from things other then meat, ask all the veggies in the world. Your child can eat beans, and spinach for protiens and irons. You can however puree it, but don't make things too smooth, babies gums are very tough as the teeth are underneath so you still want to encourage them to chew.
Don't worry that the teeth have not come in, believe it or not that is a good thing, as it is better to get your teeth later rather than earlier. The baby's mouth will be bigger so the teeth will come in straighter and it gives them less time to rot before they fall out

First of all ignore most of the idiots on here. Formula or Breast milk ONLY for the first year... don't be so bl00dy stupid!
By a year babies should be eating a well balanced 3 meals a day with 2 snacks inbetween and at the most just one bottle at bed time.
At 7 months you should be working towards this but smaller amounts of food and still giving bottles/breastmilk.
Any food you prepare for your daughter can include well cooked high quality meets and finely blended. I would say at thi age she should be getting used to little soft lumps. Try a little at a time, if she gags don't panic as this is a normal reaction to new foods and lumps touching the back of babies throats.
Minced beef is ok if you puree it a little, and not alone. As long as its softened up with a sauce or veg of some sort. My son has been muunching on spagetti bolognese from 7 months old and he loved it!
If your anxious then maybe try a few pre-packed jars from heinz or cow and gate first. Stage 2 is desigend for babies 7 months and over and many include minced beef, chicken and other meats.
Good luck and try not to worry to much!

my daughter has been eating meats since she was 6 months old she was never interested in baby foods cooked hamburger that is squished down enough should be safe i also it sounds really gross but i would either break of little chunks of chicken small enough so i knew she wouldnt choke on it or i would put it in a food processor or chopper real quick so the chunks were small but there isnt anything wrong with feeding your baby more protien as long as u know shes not going to choke on it. And you feed in moderation you dont want your baby to end up over weight either

Although my 8 month old is not on meat yet, when my son was around 6 months, we started him on meat. We bought a baby blender and would put baby food sweet potato or carrots in the blender with some chicken or beef and blend it together until it was pureed. This worked well.

What solids is she eating now?
Is she breastfed or formula fed?
Breastmilk (or formula) should be the main source of her nutrition for the ENTIRE first year. Solids are just for fun and practice at this point.
That said.....she doesn't need teeth to chew. Her gums can do the work. Just be sure to give her small pieces, stuff that's tender, etc. You can "pre-chew" it for her or use a baby food grinder.
PERSONALLY I would not start meats this early. I held off until closer to 18 mos because some things that I read suggested that the enzymes needed to digest meats weren't present until around then.
La Leche League does recommend starting meats fairly early though.
LLL suggests this progression when introducing your baby (6 months or older) to solid foods:
Ripe banana, avocado, yam, or sweet potato (sweet like breastmilk)
Meats
Whole-grain breads and cereals (rather than baby cereals)
[wheat and corn are usually delayed until baby is 9-12 months old]
Fresh fruits
[citrus fruits are usually delayed until baby is 9-12 months old]
Vegetables
Dairy products after 9 months
[cow's milk is usually delayed until baby is 12-18 months old]

Dear, dont be so allarmed.. am sure there must be a store where u can buy baby food .. like puree-ed meat , fruit .. veggies.. etcif u cant fid it .. boil the meat , pass it in the blender and then mixx it with the rest of the soup and the cereals to provide a cmoplete meal to u`r baby....
AND to all you 'MOTHERS' who say that babyes shouldn`t eat meat but after 9mths... have u ever had babies ? why do u think baby food was invented... so that u know breast milk is no longer enough after the 4 mths as it no longer provides all the nutrients needed for the organism to grow and meals must be completed with proteins,cereals.. etc.. so that`s why they invented baby food .. which is only given after the 4th mth.. so
to all u who think know it all... please .. dont mislead a poor woman.. take a break and find smth else to do rather than misleding people who seek help...

My baby girl is almost 7 months, i hav'nt started her on meats although my doctors said I can, however Beech Nut First Advantage baby foods, are made with dried egg yolks and offer 20% daily recommended amounts of protien per jar. I'll probably start her on meats in a couple of weeks, she has no teeth either.

If she is 7 months she doesn't need meat... Is she breast feeding? Who said she needs more protein? But you are right, she might choke, if you MUST give her meat grind it in a baby food grinder (about $10 at the supermarket) or a food processor.

You can definitely introduce meat and chicken at 7 months, just make sure it's well mashed up, you can use a blender or food processor for this. Don't give your baby nuts, seeds, citrus fruit or shellfish.
