Dont kill a person who drops his weapon infront of you.
Dont cut any trees, dont spoil the crops and dont harm the animals.
If they seek truce, agree to it and be an instrument towards peace.

So if a faction of so called Muslims is doing such kind of acts that tentamount to killing of all non-Muslims, it against the teachings of Islam and they are not the right portraits of Islam.
