For the person who said I type like a spoiled teenager...umm...I am a teenager...
And for the person who said y would i ask a question I would not like the responses to...I am not offended by any of these answers, I am very open to people all having their own, very different, opinions. I was just asking because I do not know why people are so offended by fur. I think most of the people who are offended by it are not really offended, but jealous that they cannot afford it themselves...but that is just my opinion...

You probably will not pick my answer as "best" but, I can not believe that you do not see what is wrong with wearing fur. The fact that an animal has to be killed so that you can look fashionable is crazy. We are supposed to be a civilized society and people walk around with the hides of animals draped around them like cave men and that is supposed to be cool. The fact that you knowling will wear fur despite your knowledge of how these animals are killed makes you just as responsible as the people that murder the animals. You promote the sale and distribution of fur. They won't kill animals if fur products aren't lucrative.

To satisfy this need for fur, faux fur is sold that looks and feels just like the real thing but even this is not good enough. I will not ever understand people that wear fur. I think they are either very cruel people or just the most naive, selfish individuals that have ever had the priviledge of walking on God's green Earth.

you must be really thick skulled if you think you buying a fur coat wouldnt have a cosequence
1. supply and demand, if you buy the fur, they have the reason to make it, if people stop buying fur, they wont have the funding to make anymore
2. humans have worn it for centuries because we had no other choice, we couldnt produce cloth then
3. most fur is accquired illegally
4. people that wear fur advertise it, causing more people to buy fur
5. wearing fur makes you look rich and spoiled
6. theres always a consequence, what you killed could eventually lead to the death of many other things, if you kill one snow leopard, you instantly kill hundreds of cubs that it could have sired or grandsired, they wouldnt exist, so you see, for every animal you kill, you not only kill the animal, but also stun the possibility of a population growth, therefore hindering the entire species, you also affect any prey or predators it might have.

BTW: your typing grammar needs improvement, your sound like a spoiled teenager

Yes, but if everyone will stop buying it, then they won't sell it anymore. Its simple supply and demand marketing.

Its just a cruel thing to do especially when are are fake furs that look just as nice and other fibers and polymers that keep us warmer in the winter besides fur.

Oh, and no, I am not a vegetarian.
My family believes that we use ALL of any animal we kill (donate the fur to the local Indians for religious ceremonies and eat the rest), but not to waste any animal either.

Well, there is nothing wrong with wearing fur if it is for economical purposes. Example: First nations people wear fur/leather as their staple material for clothing. This is ok, because they also make a point to use as much of the animal for other purposes (ie. eating, tools, etc.) as possible.

If you want to wear fur/leather, then please do your research. Make sure (as much as you can be) that the company you are purchasing from does their fur collection in humane matters, that they are using animals bred specifically for fur productions or are funding repopulation programs (ie. breeding programs for endangered species previously effected by fur collection.) There are humane companies out there doing this. Just have to find them.

And if you wear fur... don't make a fashion crime out of it. LOL Don't go overboard!! :P

Because you're supporting animal abusers. People abuse and torture those animals just so you can pay a bunch of money for something with fur on it that you will wear. If more people buy the fur then they will have to make more, supply and demand people. That sickens me that you don't even care about innocent animals dying just so you can wear a jacket.

I agree with you & disagree too. When people buys fur, it causes the market for fur to rise. If we all stopped buying it, it would fall & a lot more animals would live. I love fur, & it's really hard for me to not buy it, because the "fake fur" is so unrealistic it's not even funny. But they are making more realisitic alternatives, and I think we should all move to them & save some little bunny lives!

Nothing wrong with wearing fur as long as you grow your own. And as far as people having worn it "forever" primitive man had no other choice, after cloth could be made, many people couldnt afford or had no easy access to manufactured clothing. So fur and leather had to be used. You have a choice....the animals don't

why do you ask a question you know you wont like the replies too? are you feeling guilty and looking for validation? i myself have no problem with fur or leather IF the animal is used in a sacred manner. that is we are thankful for the sacrifice the animal made, and that no part of the animal is wasted. for leather that's not an issue we (most) all eat beef. however i don't see many baby seal steaks or mink stews on restaurant menus.

i do no longer think in any respect that donning actual fur is misguided, yet just about no person has an analogous opinion with me and that's for an essay, so the main considerable explanation why human beings think of that's misguided is animal cruelty. There somewhat are not the different compelling motives, so using animal cruelty as one among your 3 factors could defeat your purpose. So i could propose using that as your considerable thesis fact, then organizing it into your 3 considerable factors. those ought to contain the concern of animals bred in fur farms, the flexibility used to kill them, and searching approaches used on wild animals. for my area, i think of searching isn't incorrect in any respect. some animal species somewhat do must be stored in verify (deer and coyotes, as an occasion, are a considerable concern the place i'm from- coyotes consume housecats and have been regular to injure, even kill, young ones, and deer account for many roadkill and a competent form of motor vehicle wrecks). searching is one stable thank you to flow approximately that inhabitants administration, and in case you get some advantageous pelts out of it, lots the greater effectual. as long as clean kills are made, i do no longer think of the cruelty factor applies in any respect. yet that's all by using the by using.

The animal still died so you could wear their fur. Personally, I think it is tacky to wear fur. It is the fault of humans for killing the animals just for the fur. If every part of the animal was going to be used then it would be differen gut if it is just for the fur then it's wrong.
