He's not perfect, but after decades of doing it (not only has he spun it on camera hundreds of times, but I'm sure he can practice whenever he wants), it looks like he's got a really good feel for the wheel--he knows just how much force to put into it to get it close to a certain target (consider that the contestants don't have anywhere near as much experience, and will only touch the wheel a few times in their entire lifetime). To me, it looks like he usually tries to aim for that $5000 spot every time he does that final spin.

That's a good question. I really have never seen him hit bankrupt or lose a turn. Hmmmm. Maybe it is rigged. He also hits the big money a lot.
