I love Green Day and I never heard of anyone putting them down.

I'm not really a fan of their music. The only song of theirs I ever really liked was "Jesus of Suburbia." I guess all the success they had, along with being hailed "best band in the universe" is not bad, but to me it's when you're standing on rised platforms in your music video when it bugs me. They're basically saying, "Look at us. We're rockstars. Don't you wish you could be us?" And to me, I think they're forgetting how they got where they were. I already said I don't like their music. I wouldn't diss it though because they do have talent. Most backlashes against the band are towards the members, not the music.

I put them down because I don't like what their music has become. Everybody has opinions, and everybody has the right to voice them- it doesn't matter if you agree or not.

Because they suck now. Everything pre-Nimrod was awesome. Now they are sell outs, appealing to the lowest common denominator.
