It's a tough thing to be somewhere other than where you wanna be. Chances are, though, you're there for a reason. Focus on that reason. If it's truly good enough to keep you where you are, put your all into it and do it right. If it's not, chances are, there is an option to make that reason no longer a driving force. It may not be pleasant (quitting a job, breaking up with a love, etc), but if home is more important, you need to go.

Moving isn't always what people expect, or unexpected things may happen. If this is familiar, then you are not the only person feeling like this - it just seems that way.
Because discomfort rarely shows on the surface, it is likely other people imagine that everything is easy and fun for you, too. It may be hard to deal with this - you don't want to worry family and friends back home, and here you may not have people around you who you know well enough.
If you are not as comfortable or happy as you think you should be, you are not alone. If you feel a bit lost and are missing home, seeking out a person from the same place as you might help. Try logging into a chat room for persons from your country. There are several on Yahoo and AOL. You can also post a "looking for Friends" classified ad on most sites like 360, Myspace and Penpals.com. Try them out and it might help. Best wishes and good luck on your new future! I am sure it will be a bright one!

Elaborate! Why are you not where you consider your home (country). Do you have a choice? It is natural for most people to miss their family and home, for whatever reason, but sometimes we must do what we must do.Give yourself some time, keep in touch, and make the best of it if it has to be, and decide whether or not you really have to be away and whether or not you are making your own decisions about what is best for you. Good luck.

If you are in England now and whining about your home then all I can say is f*** off back there... I've had a whining foreigner in my house for years and it's the best solution.

have a journal.
