I dont know what the norms are in America( you people can be quite freaky!), but in India, its a HUGE no-no.

I would think the 17 year old needs to grow up and realize what a situation she has put herself in and then I also think her parents need to be informed

I think the relationship needs to stop. He's too old for her, plus he's a criminal. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

I'd say the girl needs to get her priorities straight before she screws up her life. She's stil young enough to not make the mistake she's looking to make. Intervene if it's not you. If it is you, don't ruin your life.
