Because most people are racist and biased. If it were american children being slaughtered like animals and not even being buried, the world's respose would be entirely differnt. but because they are arabs, they dont deserve the same treatment or have the same rights. Thats what they think, all those racist ignorant people.

Theres alot more to it than that/ This is a war that has been going on for many many many many years. When they are focused on their reasons of having this fight, they dont care who is in the way. Lebanon should not have taken the hostages to start this up again and secondly, Israel is doing us all a favor by getting as many terrorist in the cross fires before they nuke us all. All they know is killing, and yes Israel is defending itself if you know what is behind the fight this time. I am not heartless as I think it is all wrong, but what would you feel if it was us? It could be and who knows what the future may bring the way the world is going. also keep in mind the civilians were all warned to GET OUT so if they are still there it was at their own risk.

On NPR it sometimes takes more than 5 experts from various parts of the world to explain the Middle East conflict. It's not as cut and dried as most Americans (or probably the rest of the world) believe. I still don't fully understand it.

I think some people are heartless because they truly don't understand.

For some, unless it directly impacts their lives, it's not a problem.

What about Darfur?
