Deer Bubba:
We all bleed red most of the time unless it is thinned out with some good hooch. I think most of these folks are confused and think us hillbillys are really noxious racists rednecks. When all we really wanted to be were just a bunch of good old boys.

That's kind of ironic, because hillbilly is actually a slur against people from the Appalachian region of the country. So if you call yourself a hillbilly, you're insulting yourself.

Racist people are against everybody who is different from themselves. However, Hillbilly isn't a race as far as I know. I thought it was a segment of society.

Um, most racist people are poor hillbillies. If you're talking about black people who are racist against white people, well, it's usually a defensive thing...they're usually just suffering from an inferiority complex.

it is not racist to be against hillbillies, though it may be elitist. It is unkind and unfair, but no different than Blond jokes that employ a certain set of assumptions that blonds are stupid, that fat people are jolly or for that matter that everyone who lives in a trailer is trash.
It's not right, but unfortuately it is the way of human nature to pigeonhole people into groups and apply a set of prejudices to them. Don't fight it, if you are a good, decent person, revel in who you are.

It's the rich people being biased to us hillbillies, cause we know how to have fun, and don't need to flaunt our money around, or remind people of what we have and what others don't. Hillbillies enjoy life. So in other words, don't let those uptight snobs get to you, they don't know how to enjoy life.

People fear what they don't understand. I'm more under the redneck class than the hillbilly class, but I feel you. I think maybe people are just jealous is all. Of our easy women(sisters, moms, aunts), our lawn ournaments(cars, trucks, motors) and how we can understand what Dale Jr. is actually saying during the post race interview.

because they were raised to be a racist, I look at it this way and I have raised my son to be the same and my daughter will be the same. Treat others how you want to be treated, and if I ever see or hear my two kids being nasty or disrespectful to someone just to do it then I will punish my kids. I expect my kids to respect everyone no matter the color, race, sex, or anything like that. That was how I was raised and that's how mine will be raised No questioned asked eather you respect people or you get punished for being disrespectful your choice.
