Mostly, not having bills to pay.
But here are some other options that I miss. Not having to meet unrealistic deadlines. Having summers off. Not having to plan and pay for vacations. Being home alone and cranking the music. Not having to do yard work. Not cooking. Using being a kid as an excuse.

The lack of Responsibilty. As an adult, you have so much responsibility, whether it's paying the rent, bills or a car loan. Adults have to think about what consenquences come from each action. If they call in sick for work and don't get paid, will they have enough money to pay this bill or that bill....
As a child, those things weren't a reality. You had school, homework and play time.
Ohhhh, I honestly believe that society should bring the nap out of preshcool and kindegarten and have it in life too! I need naps at work!!!

The biggest problem was which doll to play with and what was for supper. No bills. No aches and pains. All my parts were still where they were supposed to be - now when I wake up I wonder if anything fell off or fell further south during the night!

Um, am I supposed to miss something?
Oops.
Guess I'm still there, in my childhood.
Still using my slip-and-slide right along with my children.
Still having conversations with Mom and Dad.
I might grow up someday, but I doubt it.
The way it sounds, growing up will never do!!
Thanks for asking!
Remember this and it'll get you through tough times:
What is essentail is invisible to the eye-
The Little Prince
It's a great book about grown-ups and I think you should read it.

I miss the feeling of comfort, knowing people are there to love and protect you. I miss the invincibility, and feeling carefree.
Also, I miss not knowing about any wars or world politics, and not knowing there are horrible things in the world.

I miss school believe it or not. My responsibilities then were so minuit compared to what I have to do now. Not having to pay bills and not getting out of bed to go to work was something that I cherish now.
