Sounds like yours to be honest.
If that's good news for you then Congratulations.
You could always take a DNA test anyway.
Good luck.

By the dates you listed above your girlfriend ovulated sometime between the 8th and 14th of July. Which at the date she took the pregnancy test put her a little over 2 weeks pregnant. But since doctors can't tell for sure a woman's ovulation date because its hard to find the luteral date, they go by 14 days after the woman has her period. So, even though a normal pregnancy is only 38 weeks in gestation doctors add the 2 weeks before conception because its easier to do the math. So by adding those two weeks when she wasn't pregnant to make the math easier the nurse says your girlfriend is 37 days pregnant but she is actually only about half of that. So the baby is yours. The other guy is defiantly not the father. Congrats on the baby! Hope you and your girlfriend work things out.

That is exact timing for you to be the dad if you slept with her around mid July and her LMP was 6/28/06! If she has not been with anyone else since June. Her last LMP was 6/28 so that means that she would have ovulated between July 10th and 12th. Sperm can live for 72 hours max! A pregnancy test will become accurately positive as early as the first day you miss your period - which means if she had her LMP on 6/28 then she should have been due for her next period around 7/26!

Poor you! OK, some facts. Sperm can only live for a maximum of 72 hours, not 7 days.
If your gf had a period that started on the 28th July, then her most likely time for falling pregnant that month was approx the 14th July. This does vary depending on her cycle, and as we have established, sperm can survive for 72 hours.
This would make a likely conception date of between 13th and 17th July.
When she did the first test on the 26th, it is likely that it was negative as there were not yet enough pregnancy hormones to show up as she had not yet missed a period.
It is possible for women to bleed when pregnant, but this is not a period, it is called spotting and is when the egg attaches itself to the lining of the womb. It is much lighter than a period, and should only last a few days.
I really hope this had helped, and I wish you all the best.

The nurse knows what she is talking about. In order to get the estimated date of delivery you go one year from the date of the last mp and then subtract 3 months. Sperm does not live in the female body for 7 days. It can only survive for up to 3 days and in most cases it is more like 48 hours. The date of conception counts as the day you had sex and conceived. The amount of time it takes for the female's body to produce an ample amount of hpg hormone to register on a test has nothing to do with when the egg was fertilized. Some women as far as 6 weeks into it still have a faint to no + result on a test. If she released an egg on July 28th when her period was about to begin she could still conceive . That period would only be getting rid of the old egg from that cycle. Some women get pregnant on or around their periods. It really sounds like you are trying to avoid taking responsibility for your part in this. If you are doubting her get a paternity test and stop having sexual relations with people you obviously don't respect , love or trust.

First, she had her period AFTER she slept with the other guy. Second, her period started June 28, so that is Day 1 of her cycle. A woman typically ovulates mid-cycle, so the sex you had mid-July would have been right around her fertile time. An early pregnancy test can sometimes detect enough hormone to generate a positive even before a woman misses her period and she would have likely been due right around the time she tested. The baby is yours.

Yep I agree with the other answers it's yours. Ovulation is usually (approx) 14 days after first day of period - mid July was when you conceived the pregnancy test was done when her next period was due.
So you are the daddy - provided there was no other sex going on.
I think you need to work on some issues before this baby is born. If there is still any doubt get a paternity test done. Best of luck daddy.

A woman ovulates 14 days before her period so could be that the second time you slept with her was when you conceived. There is more of a chance that the child is yours but still you should take a paternity test once the baby is born to be sure.
Good luck

I t is possible for a woman to menstruate while pregnant (i did for the first three months) And since the Dr. can only base it on the period date for now you have to play the waiting game. When she gets a little further down the road you will be able to have an ultrasound that can tell you the conception time much more accurately.
Good Luck

Sounds like its your, your just upset that she has slept with someone else and your worried that nature is a freak and that the baby may be his. If she had her period since she slept with the other guy and the scan says she is 37 days pregnant now, then is yours, you can conceive the day you had inter course, so if you can get past her sleeping with the other guy, get over it and enjoy being a daddy if thats what you want, you can always get a paternity test done, if you want..

They calcluate a pregnancy from the day of your last monthly period started. It does not mean you actually CONCEIVED on that day - she would have conceived probably when you slept together in July. They just date the pregnancy from the day your last period started because its easier that way. Few people know exactly when they conceived but most can remember when their last period was.
If she slept with this other guy in June and then had a period then its very unlikely she'd be pregnant by him.
