Yes it is, but Canada has lots and we are more then willing to share. then again if we don't share Mr. Bush and the gang will just come and try to take it from us by force.

The US certainly isn't running out of water, rather fresh water. It is simply because the output of water facilities are busy from the demand. People are just turning on their sinks and shows more. Now, there is nothing to worry about. There is no shortage because facilities are certainly up to par with the increased demand. Once the heat wave is over, everything should be back to normal.

No, not because of the heat wave, but because of man's activities.
To be more exact, clean water resources. The massive aquifers in the west are being depleted. Fresh water is being pumped out faster than the aquifers are being recharged. It doesn't rain enough in the desert southwest to nearly cover the water usage of cites like Las Vagas.
Cities are also sucking up surface fresh waters. Why do you think the Colorado River no longer reaches the ocean? Cities like Los Angeles have diverted the flow for its residents. Why does San Diego require developers to include adequate water supply provisions in their housing plans?
Aquifer pollution is a problem in the east. Salt water encroachment into fresh water aquifers because of over pumping along the coasts is a problem.
We are slowly depleting our fresh water resources. Yes there is lots of water, but is it fit to drink?

Not because of the heat wave (that is short acting) but because of over abstraction from the Colorado river, depletion of the Ogalla aquifer and numerous other examples.
Water may be a much bigger problem that global warming and is a disaster waiting to happen

Not because of the heat wave, but we all need to conserve our earth's natural resources before they are really gone. Running out of water is something everyone needs to be aware of. It can and will happen someday.

The US might not be running out of water, but it's importing A LOT from here in Canada. We're making a killing off of it really.

Places will run out of water, but that's always happened.
A more pressing issue is that we're running out of petroleum.

No. There is always the same amount of water. It evaporates, rises and cools, and returns to Earth in some form of precipitation.
