I have met a couple of so called famous people, the first time I was like a shorty, I got angry because I was standing right in front of her, it was Mayor Jane Burns of Chicago IL back in the 80's, then there was Mr.T also back in the 80's then by the 90's I was in a club with Mike Love & The Diz of WGCI 107.5 fm. I had then tripping on the radio over some key chains that they were given out. (I still didn't get my key chain) Then it was the time I ran into Naughty By Nature at a record shop in Chicago IL on the west side of the city, I was kind of embrassed that time because I didn't know who they were, so when one of them grabbed my hand thinking I was trying to shake his I acted like a fool, (dumb me right)
But the best time I had with someone famous was when I was in the same club that I met the radio personilties in (Mike's Bar & Grill) Robert Towsend came in with a bunch of bodyguards and it seemed like he was so small standing with his guards but, anyway after he was announed and went to sit down, it look like everyone was afraid to go near him, I had had a couple of drinks and I decided to go over and ask him for a dance, and he excepted, as we danced I told him of course that I was a fan and for some reason at that very moment I could not think of one thing I had seen of his, but after I got passed that I asked the regular questions like if he had a wife and, children, and he said yes, he said he was there in passing and that he was really tired, and was missing his family, and I thought that was wonderful, he wasn't trying to pick-up no ladies or act like he was bigger than life or nothing, and that gave me real respect for him, he even gave me his autoghraph with out asking for it, he was really down to earth, that happened in the 90's also.
That is my story about someone famous, but really nice also, I hope you all liked it.....

I live in Montreal and when Bruce Willis was downtown opening his very own Hard Rock Cafe or something like that I met him, shook his hand he had a totallly teddy bear type personality. The other person I met was wrestling star Rowdy Roddy Piper,he was filming part of a movie in a park 1 block from my house.Everyone else seemed too shy to go up to him and ask for an autograph,so,8 year old little me decided I was going to go talk to him and ask for autographs for all my family members.I ended up staying there to chat with him for about a half an hour as onlookers were shocked that only I had the guts to do it.He was very kind, also surprised that I was not shy at all.He spoke to me about his family and about how he liked travelling,he asked about my schooling and was amazed that already at the age of 8 I was fluently bilingual.I would have stayed longer, but for some reason, the director of the film pulled a hissy fit and told Roddy that he should not be talking to me,so I left. But it was cool, bet he doesn't remember it though.Oh well, those are my memories.I also me several hockey players,I used to work at a gas station righ beside the Bell Centre where they played games, after they would all come to get fuel and drinks and stuff, that was pretty cool too, some of them flirted with me,so awesome!

In my line of work I meet famous people a lot. The first famous person I met was in the music industry, and I got to say I was speechless. Now that I have gotten used to working around these kind of people it don't bother me at all. I have found that they are no different from you or me. They just got the break it took to make them famous. By the way this is from a famous person! I can't tell you who I really am, but I will say that I'm well known in the music business. I may not be famous to the public, but I'm famous among recording artists. Hope this makes your day!

Living in NYC, there are lots of famous people. I usually just let them do whatever they were doing without interference.
That is what I did a few months ago when I saw Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake in the Whole Foods market. I am sure I gave a quiet yelp, then looked around. No one else was paying any attention to them, so I ignored them too. Hey, they should be able to buy groceries without being hounded.
But I did tell everyone for days afterwards!

When I was ten, I went with my mother to pick my father up at the airport in Charlotte N.C. As we were leaving, I saw Richard Simmons walking towards the door. I ran up and started walking next to him, and when he looked at me I just laughed and stopped walking. That guy is even scarier in person.

I waited on Patrick Dempsey once when he was filming Iron Jawed Angels in Richmond, VA. He ate a kid's cheeseburger and drank black coffee. He is a decent tipper too.

When Sir Anthony Hopkins was in Richmond filming Hearts in Atlantis, I saw him walking down the street surrounded by fans. I didn't feel the need to try and meet him.

When I ran the cafe in a Borders Books, Robert Duval would come in quite a bit. He has a ranch down the road in The Plains, VA. He isn't very nice, or at least he hates people who try to talk to him. One of the booksellers tried to ask him if he needed any help finding anything, and it turned into a bid to do with the manager having to tell everyone who worked there to never talk to Mr. Duval.

I waited on Senator, and 2008 Republican Presidential hopeful, George Allen, in Richmond. He was only the governor then, but I'm sure he is still a shitty tipper.

I also waited on Governor, and 2008 Democrat Presidential hopeful, Mark Warner. He was a very nice guy and a great tipper.

I don't remember the guy's name, but he played the prison warden in The Shawshank Redemption. He came into the bar I was working at in Richmond when he was there filming Iron Jawed Angels. He was a very nice guy and a great tipper.

My cousin-in-law is Marquis White aka the Roadrunner. He used to play for the Colorado Rapids in the MLS but he has since retired and is in the process of raising twins.

I've also met Bill Gates on a flight from Dallas/Ft. Worth to Hartford CT. He was sitting in business class (I guess he either doesn't have a private plane or his broke down or something). I didn't say anything to him but my mom said "hi" as we were passing to our seat.

My dad has also met Matt "Guitar" Murphy from "The Blues Brothers" in person three times. Once was during a gig of his in Hartford CT, then he came to my dad's friend's apartment where he signed the wall (not kidding, it's still there to this day) and another time during another set in the area.

The answer is yes, some times. I had met Shakira during a fashionshow in Miami and many famous female models.
Also I had known many nationwide famous journalist of sports, those are very witty.
Finally I had met 3 tycoons in some work seminars, and they were more kind that some arrogant low level managers.
Nice life, yes!

I met John Belushi years and years ago. it's when they were filming the Blues Brothers in Chicago. he was a real nice guy. I got to talk to him briefly. A friend of mine worked for a food company that was
working at the set. He got me in one day when they were filming around Joliet. I was right there on the street when they are driving. Right after Elwood picks Jake up at the prison. Dan Aykroyd lights a cigarette and throws the lighter out the window. John Belushi was a pretty cool guy.
