I'm a junior in college and I need a good paying job that will allow me to make a living (rent, utilities, other bills, groceries, etc.) My mom is trying to kick me out the house when school start (August 23). Help!!! Where can I work? I want to work from home but everything seems like a scam. But I need a job that's going to work around my school schedule. A late schedule job (third shift or second) is fine with me too.

With a computer at home and internet connection, you can start earning from home, without any investment. You should choose your work at home job according to your skills and time available.
The simplest work at home job is answering phone calls for companies like WorkathomeAgent, Alpine Access, Liveops. You will need a quiet enviroment at home without any disturbance. To apply you will have to complete an online application form on the companies website . A list of companies with websites is available at

Believe it or not, a retail job or a warehouse job, are more likely to hire students. A lot of companies have full time positions that want people to work the 8-5 shift. Its good pay, but your more likely to not attend night school because your tired from your day job. I'm also going to be in my junior year and I work a retail job(Michael's) its great pay for me, but I still live at home and I don't have any major bills.
A retail job is great because they work you around your school schedule, and its not too demanding of time and you unless your a manager. Great pay, and discounts on merchandise.
A warehouse job, you can work a mid shift or a evening shift and the pay is always like $ 10.00+ . Which is good, because it works around school. You could also look into working overnight for grocery stores or retail stores. ( Target/Albertsons)
Seeing that you will have to pay rent, I would go with a warehouse job, you'll get a lot more pay there than you would retail. Just go to the websites of store you like to shop in or store that look like they will be fun to work in.
Good luck to you in school and in life.

Waitress. I make up to $250 a day (after taxes), and I'm working from 11 am - 3pm, then 5 pm - 9pm
Find a restaurant that is willing to work around your schedule. Should be okay.

Well first of all it depends on what you think is Cool ???? We all have a different Idea of Cool. So I am going to take a guess at this an think that it means fun not hard and easy??? Bartending yea its good money, its fun if its the right bar and can be alot of work. stripping ??? you want that reputation?? that is up to you, but its a dark life. you didn't say what your good at so to tell you what is great out there, is something your going to have to search for your self. its what is inside of you. what do you want to do? what is fun for you? or better yet what is going to fit in with your classes. Really soul search. and i wish you the best.

Try working for whatever State you live in. State agencies always have student positions that will work around your schedule. It's part-time work so it's friendly to your study habits.

go to employment agencies and ask for the later shift. not a lot of people apply for those positions and they usually start you off at 10 an hour. just google employment agency and your state, or headhunters. thats how i got my job and i take home 435 a week.

They're tough jobs, but being a waitress or bartender tends to yield the most cash.
