Depends on the age. A guy who's teen to like early or mid twenties should go to this gothic/punk store called Hot Topic. Also try Marshall Fields or Dayton's or Saks for a more sophisticated and mature look. Other than that, I don't know.

Try adding a skirt, to your wardrobe, The chicks seem to really dig it, and they are much more comfortable than any pants,or shorts in the heat. Peace, jenisis

boring=plaid shirt+khaki's,
not boring=plaid shorts+khaki colored shirt

(dressy)i would have to say colors paired with neutrals, and a good pair of leather shoes..(casual) Vintage denim with a vintage washed shirt maybe in red or green with a funky style sneaker.
