The only reason you are more attracted to somone based on how they look on the outside is because your brainwashed. The media and hollywood tell you how you have to look and that you have to be with somone sexy. Because this society has become so obsessed with sex and sexy people etc they can no longer see the inside because all they want is a sexy looking person. I don't have to get to know a guy to know if he's a shallow jerk. I can usualy tell after watching him for a few minutes. I have ways of being able to read them. Now i will admit that a cute attractive guy will catch my eye but a guy who is lets his personality and character shine is what really attracts me. It's just my messed up human nature that is easily attracted to the outside.

Historically, you are absolutely correct. During the middle ages, a woman who was overweight was considered especially sexy because most women were so slender due to the poor nutrition they had to endure. BTW, during that same period, a woman's breasts were not sexy at all. It was the style to wear dresses with one breast showing. For men, the upper class wore "codpieces" which were fake genitals that showed when they wore the tight pants. Sort of advertising. Beauty, sexiness, all physical characteristics go through periodic changes throughout history. I will admit that it's hard to go against society, though, unless society really messes up, like Twiggy during the 60s and 70s. Twiggy's bra probably fit better if she put it on backwards. Being ultrathin may be what society wants, but I think most men want "curves", even if it means a few extra pounds

You are wrong - the media is feeding you what you want, not what they want for you. Humans across cultures judge attractiveness similarly - Britney is pretty to people who have no idea who she is.
That said - I agree with you. Most people are shallow and base everything on looks. Good looking people get all the breaks (and we appreciate it too).
