I read on a few sites that it is 'legal' to share copyrighted files via peer2peer (Limewire/Torrent files) as it is legal not illegal to lend anyone a CD/DVD that you bought, and if the other person copies the whole media and returns you the original CD/DVD then it is illegal on his side, but legal on your side, but when anyone transfers a file via p2p/torrent, you never copy the whole media you just take a piece of the whole file from different users and then join all those pieces (mostly over 1000) to make the original file and therefore it is classified as being technical legal. and thats why there are lots of warez file servers in Canada.
is this true? or is this a trap? have you every been into trouble in canada because of file sharing of copyrighted stuff? do you know any such person?
