Look, in order to sustain a hierarchical society (aka richest 1% people STAY rich, Poor people STAY POOR), you must have a GRAND STRUGGLE between US and "THEM". This struggle serves to drive and define new generations. It simply brainwashes them into believing that the Rich care about the Poor, when in fact all the Rich care about is ENSLAVING the poor. The Poor march right along in their fight against other Poor people who just happen to be the scapegoat of the day.
All the while oblivious to the atrocities of the ruling elite against EVERYONE else. It used to be the COLD WAR against those "godless communists". In the 90's it was the War on Drugs, Now it's the WAR on Terror, which uses fear MORE than the "terrorists". Soon it will be the War on Thought.

We waste far too much money on education already, our public school systems are a sham and all they are becoming is mouthpieces for National Education Association. You'd rather be lying in a foxhole in the space where your home used to be worrying about where the next terrorist attack is coming from than lifting one finger in defense of this country.

Liberals - it's all about wanting more of your money for projects that they want - they don't care about people or measurable results or positive outcomes - they just are in love with programs that allow them to think that they are doing something. That's what delusional is, and that's why they are liberals, and that's why they have no real answers for any of the issues in this country. "Quality" teachers? Most teachers are idiots. They are the people who couldn't do anything else with their lives. Most male teachers are also p ussies. Remember Columbine? when the massacre broke out, all the male teachers DESERTED their students, and ran out of the school like little fairy limp wristed

I'm tired of hearing how "hard" teachers work. They get paid for a full year's work, and get two months off. Real nice deal. Teachers do not work "harder" than any other people - lawyers, journalists, garbage men, janitors, carpenters. I work hard, and I don't get two freakin' months off. Saying that teachers "work hard" is an insult to those of us who work the WHOLE year.

Instead of spending millions on their campaigns, couldn't Democrats have donated that money to hire more teachers? Perish the thought...

Besides teachers aren't going to solve anything but more teachers...until the student has some kind of drive outside of schools (ie parents, after school tutor program...) the education system will never work.
