Not any more than the bunch of idiots in NASCAR do.
And yes, Will Ferrell is offensive. And not funny.

I think it's hilarious. It makes Will Ferrell look like an idiot and if he's making fun of NASCAR he probably has a reason. I have nothing against NASCAR and most of my friends and family are huge fans but there is a lot to make fun of. I live in one of the biggest Nascar towns in America. I get to experience these NASCAR fans twice a year and sweet lord sometimes I feel like every idiot in the world is in my town for that weekend. You see some of the most embarrassing idiotic stuff that not even Will Ferrell could reinact. Relax and go with it. It's funny!

Boy, some people need to just lighten up a little. I hear that laughing burns calories and relieves stress. My suggestion is to go and see Talladega Nights and have fun. He's making a joke about the sport. He's making a joke about the fans. If the people involved with NASCAR (drivers, sponsers, etc) can laugh at it, anyone can. And if you don't like NASCAR or the fans, why not go and see Will Ferrell poke fun at it. Tell you about it after I go and see it in a hour.

Oh it does. I'm a fan, use to watch it regularly with my dad, and I saw a simple online ad for it which started off on a rant about how dumb Will Ferrell makes Nascar racing look. It's bad they made a comedy about it, it's even worse that he's starring in it. Not that he's a bad actor, but he makes a complete joke out of the sport.

Although I dont much care for Will Ferrell I do think the movie is just a spoof of NASCAR. Did you see the movie "Cars" it was hysterically funny and was somewhat copying NASCAR. I think its funny that alot of ppl think that all NASCAR fans are hillbillies and rednecks. That just isnt true.

Yes, they do make NASCAR look like a bunch of idiots. But that's not exactly false advertising about NASCAR...

Well, the movie is just a movie and a comedy at that but I do agree that Nascar is full of a bunch of idiots if Tony Stewart is any example.

The highest form of flattery is comedy. Take it as it is, Comedy. I love Nascar and I think its going to be a laugh a minute. Wow, look at all the Nascar haters. Sad!

I haven’t seen the movie, but from what I can tell from the trailers, I don’t think the movie is as much a parody of NASCAR, but a mockery of the rednecks, who are such fanatics about the sport. Will Farrell comedies are so light-hearted I hardly see how one could get offended by them.
