I'm going to the first game of the regular season for the New York Rangewrs because my mom has season tickets. I really want to go to opening night for the Pittsburgh Penguins but I live way to far away but I will watch it because Sidney Crosby is my all time favorite player.

I'll be in Raleigh, NC for opening night at the RBC Center as the Stanley Cup Champion Carolina Hurricanes begin their defense of The Cup against the Buffalo Sabres on October 4th. The tailgating will commence in the early afternoon and the Caniacs will be out in full force to show their support for their Hurricanes. The organization will be dropping division, conference, and league championship banners that evening. It should be an awesome night!

I'm going to the first game for my team in Toronto and my Habs are going to win, they owned Toronto all last year.
THE CANES WILL PROBABLY ONLY HAVE AROUND 10,000 FANS AT OPENING NIGHT, IF YOU CAN BUY A TICKET THE SAME DAY AS A PLAYOFF GAME LIKE YOU COULD IN CAROLINA, THEN YOU KNOW THERE IS NOT ALLOT OF FANS.

unfortunately the closest team to me is Chicago and they aren't worth the cost of the gas to get there...so the answer is no
