I used to help my father run an antique book store.
The best way to find out how much your book is worth is to see how much other people are selling it for. Go around to http://abebooks.com and look around in there. Look for places that sell old or used books and get an appraisal from them, they know what they're talking about and you can trust them. If you really want to get someone who knows what they're doing, look for someone who collects the stuff (yes, there are people out there who collect old books), and ask if they know how much it's worth.
Also, take pictures of the front and back covers, the publications date, the title page and the first page. the people you talk to will want to know what kind of condition it's in, because that can raise or lower tha value of a book. Make sure to tell them if there are any bents pages, loose binding, mold, mildew, etc. That's very important.

Not much - maybe a couple of bucks - unless its something like a Masonic Bible which should contain all the family records in it, or one that is imprinted as being from some oddball religion. I have an old Masonic one from 1802 that contains all my family records back to around 1100 and was offered several thousand bucks for it about 10 years ago for its historical value - God knows what its worth now. So, if its not odd, strange, or unusual, its probably not worth much.

If you live in a large city, look in the telephone book, yellow pages for Auction Houses, ask them about your bible.
Also, go to: http://search.sothebys.com/
click on: "What's It Worth"
DON'T send the bible to them, take photos front and back cover of bible and one or two pages of inside the bible. They will write you with information about the bible and, it's value, if any.
Sotheby's is an international auction house.

Take it to a pawn shop. They'll usually cheat you, though, so whatever they offer you, think maybe 50% more.
