had a week of things, first the house move went up the wall,then the computer went wrong with a virus now repaired and then my husband tripped up and hurt his back, why always 3 times things tend to go wrong?

They don't! They may seem like they do if you have been conditioned to believe they do. Once the seed of such a belief is sown, a process of cognitive filtering can take place....what does that mean? Simply that you only notice the times when 3 bad things happen close together (or just stop counting then), and filter out the times when they don't.

Just in three's? wow i wish mine was just 3, ha ha take it easy, hope the hubby back is ok soon, look after him and massage the back and front on a regular basis.

I am very rational and not prone to superstition, yet, I agree. There is something weird about this phenomenon of the "Gruesome Threes."

True True.... Same with jokes too.. my friends and I see that jokes last about 3 weeks b4 they die completely... and lets not forget the 3 fold law... its weird

Its a thing that occurs in numerology, you can make any number fit what happens. Its not that it is occuring in threes, just you're noticing them as threes.

For me it happens in 10s at least. Problems come in avalanches.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm cursed or something.
