If your partner had told you that you were finished after a silly little row, yet he was looking after your house while you were away because you had workmen in, still spoke to you down the phone and had said this before after a row and you made up, would you think he was being hasty and just needed some space??? My partner has just said this to me and he still sounds really angry after the row we had???!!!

I'm not certain but sounds a lot like history repeating itself doesn't it. If he is a good man and a good provider and does not abuse you in any way then I would say that it certainly doesn't sound like you guys are through at all and it's just another row in his mind. But perhaps he could benefit from some type of Anger Control or Anger Management strategies. Or another thought might be for the two of you to take some sort of counselling together. That's just my 2 cents on the subject. Best of luck in resolving your dilemma.
