I don't sell either, but if I were to sell one, I'd probably choose Avon because it has two lines marketing to a wider age range (Avon for women & Mark for twentysomethings & teenagers) and a wider range of products. Even if someone doesn't like the makeup they may be interested in the accessories or gifts.
I personally don't like Mary Kay's products at all and find their salespeople a lot pushier...there are WAY more Mary Kay people on here constantly trying to sell things, even though Answers is NOT for advertising! I don't like to be sold to and have seen some really hideous makeovers done by Mary Kay "professionals." I would much rather have someone drop off a catalog and bring me what I order!

Some people say that Avon is easier to sell because it's not as expensive. However, being a Mary Kay consultant myself, and knowing others who have sold Avon, I would have to say that Mary Kay is the better opportunity.

Mary Kay is suppose to be the "top selling brand" but I think Avon is easier to sell because they offer more than just makeup. They have things like cute shoes or necklaces or purses and they change them often so there is always something new for people to look at. I mean, lets face it, you can only have SO MUCH makeup so if you want people to buy something regularly, you are going to have to offer more.

well,i use both companies. avon:has great bug spray, nail polish, sun screen, and a couple of other great things.but mary kay:has great everything, foundation, eyeshadow, better quality of make-up,sometimes more expensive, but definitely worth it. i always feel more refreshed after using mary kay products. my mom's friend works for mary kay and used to work for avon, she said that mary kay allows the sellers to feel more free and comfortable with the clients than avon.plus, she has stayed with mary kay much longer, she said that she loves the rewards and how you can move up in the company.good luck in which-ever you chose!

i have tried selling mary kay before. you have to invest alot into it before you really get started. avon is easier to get into and they have new product lines.
personally, i prefer avon over mary kay.
