40 hours a week is considered full time.
Unless you have a job for only a week or two then the job could conceivably be called part-time.

Full-time, although some jobs require less hours per week in order to achieve full-time status.
Of course if you are working on Mars where the days are not 24 hours, it might be little different.

Full time. Employers may define full asd less than that. The Fair Standards Labor Law require in most instance that emploers working in excess of 40 hours are paid time and a half for hours worked in excess of 40. See www.dol.gov for more information

39 hours is regarded as full time but it depends on the contract you're on. If you are paid by the hour and you do 40 hours a weeek you are still considered part time.
