You can try converting it to the .mp4 format. That should shrink it a bit and Quicktime will still play it.

If you have quicktime pro you can do it but I assume you do not. Do you have imovei? If so, import the video into imovie, then bring it down into the project, then go click as if to save the project but you should have a choice to share the project. This will give you different formats to send it to.

you have to go into applications, then go to quicktime, then go to configuration, once you go that far you need to find the small button in left bottom corner to reconfigure it. if it is not there you will have to manually do it. when you manually do it you need to shut down your computer for 2 hours before you do it, don't know why it just needs to be done. once you get that far let me know. i have a mac too

Cut it in half.. If you're still on the making on the video, cut it into parts, that should help.. I'm stumped, I usually convert it into avi... But that usually makes it bigger I think.. Argh! This is so confuzzling.
