OK....You have two unknown......x and y......What you need to do is to find a mathematical relation between the 2 of them
Say you take .... 2x - 3y = 8 - 2x.....and you take all x terms in left and all the others in the right (remember when you put one term from one side to the other, its sign changes).....you get:
2x + 2x = 8 +3y
4x = 8 +3y
x = (8 + 3y) / 4
Now you take 3x + 4y = x + 3y +14......and instead of x you put....(8 + 3y) / 4.....you get:
3[(8 + 3y) / 4] + 4y = (8 + 3y) / 4 + 3y +14
6 + 9y/4 + 4y = 2 + 3y/4 +3y +14
From here you find out y= 4
If you remember (if not, see above).......x = (8 + 3y) / 4
So x= 5

the system of equations is
2x-3y=8-2x
3x+4y=x+3y+14
Now rearrange the tems.variables in one side constants on other side make sure u change the sign when transfering a term to the other side
ie. 4x-3y=8
2x+y=14
Multiply the second equation by3 in orde to make the y coefficients(no problem for sign) same in both the equations.noe the system becomes
4x-3y=8
6x+3y=42
add both the equations
10x=50
there fore x=50/10=5
substitute this value of x in any equation and u will get the value of y also (y=4)

Change the first equation to 4x-3y = 8
Change the second equation to 2x+y=14
Multiply the second equation by 2: 4x +2y =28
Take the first equation MINUS the third one. -5y=-20
Solve that: y = 4
Substituting x = 5
I set this up as a SUBTRACTION SYSTEM as you asked
