Anything sold over 10,000 copies is considered a best seller. But 100,000 is good. A million is GREAT!

I believe to be officially on the bestseller list, it is all dependent on how many books it sells compared to the other books out there. But in the end it is a lot of books.

It depends. Are you asking about it being a national bestseller or a regional/local one?
It depends on where you're getting listed, and who's selling as well, I think. There are some lists that get counted in those national ones, but there are also many that get counted regionally instead.

A number of different factors:
Where? for example in Canada if you sell over 10 000 I believe it's considered a best seller, compared to America where it take hundreds of thousands.
What? Depending on the market different books are best sellers, for example in the romance market you'd have to tell hundreds of thousands, but in the non-fiction a few thousand might be conisdered good.
