I hope so but it depends on the health of their players. As long as no one else gets hurt and if the pitching continues to remain solid, I think there is a good chance. Picking up Abrieu was a good move.

In my opinion the Yankees will have to win their division because the wild-card may come from the Central Division this year. They say Minnesota is the team to watch.

Yes because they have great players.
Pitchers: Wang, Mussina, Lidle, Johnson, Mariano, Proctor, Villone, Farnsworth, Myers etc.
Players: Jeter, Damon, A-Rod, Cano, Posada, Abreu, Melky, Bernie, Giambi, Craig Wilson, Fasano, Matsui and Sheffield (who will soon come back from the DL) Andy Phillips etc.
The New York Yankees are going to win their 27th World Series this year......DEFINENTLY!!!!!!!! GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:-) :-) :-)

Hell yeah... look at the lineup.
1. Damon
2. Jeter
3. Abreu
4. Rodriguez
5. Giambi
6. Sheffield
7. Matsui
8. Posada
9. Cano
Then for pitching you have Mussina, Wang, & Johnson... and that's right, Mariano, the epitome of closers in this league. Papelbon may have sick numbers for a couple months, but Mo's been the man for 10 years.

I don't think they will make the playoffs. Boston wins the East and Minnesota wins the wildcard.

good moves during trade deadline, should be a close race against boston in the AL east. will be tough to see if they can get out of the AL - if so, they've got a good shot as anyone.
