This agency, like most government agencies, takes it sweet time. There is not usually a specified time frame that they work within. The government agencies are so stupid that they can get away with anything. I wouldn't be sitting by the phone or running to the mailbox every day. These people operate on their own time!

It depends on the position that you're after. Many of the positions at the Post Office are 89 day temporary positions. If you get chosen, you will have no control over your hours or days off. If you get hired as part time (We call it PTF for part time flexible) at least you have a foot in the door. Once again, you will be required to work only the hours needed, and sometimes work split shifts. Next question: What did you apply for? Clerk or carrier? It's a good job if you can put up with all the BS. I stayed there for nearly 40 years!

First, what position is it for?

there is the test, the drug screen, the fingerprinting.

If you are a carrier, there is the driving test.

You can get bounced at any step of the way.

if you go on the roster, it can taken even longer, up to never.
