1966 pennies had no mint marks, from 1965 to 1967 the government banned mintmarks they reintroduced them in 1968.

That means it is from philly. From 1965-1970 all pennies were missing the mint mark.

I think I'd take it to a coin person. Someone who can put a value on it. It might be a penny but it's probably worth some cash! Good for you!
