The best thing to do is simply see him seperately from your other friends. I think that most people have some friends that get along and some friends that don't. It's pretty typical. Just hang out with them at different times. It wouldn't be fair of your friend to act different, he wouldn't be being himself, it would alienate him and make him feel uncomfortable. You probably wouldn't ask one of your other friends to change their behavior, so why the other way? It sounds like you care about them all, so just respect all of them by associating with them seperately. Then no one loses.

If he's someone that you click well enough with to have as a friend, then that means he's not annoying you. He doesn't have to get along with all your other friends. It IS rude to ask anyone to act differently around a different group of people.

First as his friend you should accept him for who he is. Explain this to him. However also take time to explain that you don't want to lose the rest of your friends because of him, or be forced to choice and politely ask him maybe to turn it down a notch or two. If he cares for you he would do this, knowing you accept him, it's others that may be a bit incosiderate. This would take a lot of pressure off of you and him and the rest, and who know you all might get a long famously.

Some boys are just like that. They are who they are. If you can just talk to him and let him know you want him around but if he could calm down it would help when he is around your straight friends. It is something we will all learn in time. But again he may choose not to so he may have to be kept away from your str8 friends. Just be honest but careful!!!

If he had a different quality that bugged them would you as him to change that? Like what if he spoke very nasal would you ask him not to talk very much?
It would more than likely hurt his feelings quite a bit to bring this up to him. I see your situtation but I simply would tell your other friends that is his nature.

If it is just the way he acts, he can't always change that. Your other friends will have to get use to him, or start doing things less frequently with everyone

So are you say that your friend that is Gay is not a good friend? because if he is a good friend to you then why would you care about what the other one's think? and the way i feel about it...you must not be a GOOD FRIEND yourself if you have to ask a question like SHOULD I ASK HIM NOT TO BE HIS SELF.... Think about how you would feel if someone u thought was your friend asked you to change something about your self to please other people???????

If his behavior is annoying to your other friends then choose to entertain him separately from your other friends. Chances are he is just as annoyed by your friends as they are by him.

I don't think anything is up to you...this issue is strictly between your friend and your friends...If you lose these people as friends over something so trivial..then they weren't friends to begin with.

See your friends separately. Don't try to change your gay friend, enjoy who he is and let it go at that.
