A 13 year-old as an engineer? Almost all fields of engineering require a college diploma, usually a Bachelor's Degree.

Plus I'm almost 100% sure that in no state is it legal to employee a person of that age without first filing lenghty and time-consuming child labor forms to be filed with your state. And even then I don't think you can make much more than minimum wage.

But if you really want to try to get a job I'd recommend something at a restaurant. It can train you for several future positions like human resources, public relations, managment, and others. Or maybe you can get something at a movie theater, maybe a mechanic's assistant or something like that.

When I was your age I used to do a lot of odd jobs like pulling weeds, washing windows, mowing lawns, washing cars, cleaning yards, painting, house cleaning and gardening. It might be a good idea to have some cheap business cards made to advertise yourself. For me a lot of the work I did would bring me more work because the neighbors would see me doing the work and they would have projects to do and also when I did a good job I would be refered to other people as well. Good luck.

Not sure where you live, but in the U.S. you have to be 14 years old to be (legally) employed, and to be eligible for employment you have to go to DSS and get a work permit before you can even apply for a a job.

And, by the way, if you spell as great on your job application as you do here, don't hold your breath.

just go to school and focus on that. you have the rest of your life to worry about work and you should really enjoy this time of your life. Babysitting is always good at your age, if you really want to get out there.
