I asked my hubby to spend more time with me; he said I should go find someone who wants to spend more time with me. What should I do?

Thanks to everyone. I did start doing things on my own 2 years ago, first with girlfriends then I met a man... My divorce will be final in October. I have felt very sad on losing my marriage of 22 years and needed some feedback to see what others would do in that situation.
I am still friends with my hubby but we are both moving on peacfully.

Leave him alone - permanently!

Put your Armour on (emotional not body armour) and dig in to find out why. There is an underlying reason he said that and a woman's first inclination is to think he has someone else. Not necessarily true. It could be something completely different from another relationship. You didn't say whether or not he gives you the same response every time you ask for more time with him, but if so, you need to dig further than just a few inches. You may actually enjoy finding things out about him that you didn't know. Become the "private eye" and find out what is going on. In the mean time, no more questions to him like that. Let's see if he notices. Good luck!!!

Call his bluff. Go out tonight with some girlfriends and when he asks where youre going, tell him that youre just following his advice and going out with someone who wants to be with you. His tone should change immediately because wives arent supposed to do that. Husbands are men and as we all know, men do and say stupid things they always later regret ans are sorry for otherwise there wouldnt be any floral shops in the world. Just make sure its only the girls youre going out with in case you need a witness but dont tell him that or this will never work. Make him really regret telling you that. This wont hurt him and just make him think about whats he has to lose. Like the saying; "loose lips sink ships". Have some fun at his expense and good luck

Find some friends and have fun! Don't rely on him to entertain you all the time.

If he NEVER spends time with you at all - find out what the problem is; or, just get a different husband.

That was so rude. Sorry.

Try to break your patterns for you to become more pleaseant to be around. Try an attitude adjustment, you can get more bees with honey than with vinegar.

Also, try to enhance yoru appereance by tanning, execising and wearing flatering clothes.

No one likes to be with a needy, clingy, demanding person.

Good luck

I think you should do something that he likes to do, if he likes to golf go golfing with him , if he likes to play basketball play with him, do something that you know he will enjoy. If he doesn't even want to do one of his favorite things with you , then i think you should talk to his best friend or if he has a brother that he is close to talk to him.
Maybe spice up your sex life make sure he is happy and if he isn't you guys aren't meant to be with each other.

Make sure though to talk to him about why he said that to you if you settle your problems

Man! ..how rude!
Show him that someone else will take care of you..a hell of alot better than him.
Silence is deadly..don't talk to him!

He sealed the deal with that comment!

Best of luck.. you can use my shoulder if you would like!

Do just that. Then become infatuated, have an affair and leave him. What is he thinking? That is not something he would like you to do even if it was his invitation.
