Here is the great news in most southern states you don't need a gun licence, you just go to walmart and buy one.
If you will carry it around in a gun rack on the back window of your truck you don't have to join the NRA but I would buy a hat that says something southern on it, if you don't have a NRA hat to wear.
Next be sure and do some target shooting in your back yard, so the neighbors know you are one of them.

Yes you do have to join the NRA. Let me help by teaching you the salute. First you load a large caliber hand gun. Then you point it at your temple and pull the trigger.

Yes, you not only have to join the NRA but you MUST have at least three firearms in your home (loaded) at all times. Please do not forget to shoot ANYONE who steps foot onto your property that you do not know.
