Not really. Time really exists and it has got a lot to do with the energy state of a system. In general the energy or order of a system reduces in what we understand to be the forward direction of time so that the general tendency is towards chaos or a low energy state. The main exception to this rule is life organisms where the tendency is for the energy state or complexity to increase in the forward direction of time.

Why would time be a force?
Time is a concept. Its nothing more than an idea to quantify instances with a measurable calculation.
If atomic clocks measure the vibration of a cesium atom then why not call 1 vibration a 'second'? Why is it millions of vibrations to make 1 second?
Same with your watch. It uses a vibrating crystal. The computer inside measures a certain number of vibrations until it reaches what it is preprogrammed as 1 second.
Its nothing more than a concept for fragile minds.

Maybe time is a force ... not a force as in physics, but a force. Doesn't it seem like everything is speeding up in recent decades?

Take transportation for example. People walked for a long time. Then they had horses and sailing ships. Then trains, cars, and speedboats. Then propellor planes, then jets and spaceships.

You can do the same for communications technology.

The pace of change is speeding up, so maybe time is an accelerating force for technological change.

I believe this is the first time I have heard someone refer to time as a force. It has been called the 4th dimension.

In what manner can time be used to accelerate a mass?

Time is not regarded as a force.

There is no doubt that our psychological view of time is defined by the direction of time. It may not have to be this way but our imagination is so limited

forces cause masses to accelerate...does time do that? OK, maybe it really is the time that causes things to accelerate....maybe you're on to something here.
