The Hill in the southern part of the city near the zoo is a great area with many great Italian restaurants. Cunettos and Zias are two of my favorites. Also in South St. Louis is the Sydney Street Cafe' - it's more of a meal for meat lovers, They have roasts that melt in your mouth.

I haven't eaten at many grown-up restaurants.. lol.. but I like Planet Hollywood. It's expensive but the atmosphere is great for a one time trip. I wouldn't go there all the time though.

My favorite is Remy's Kitchen and Wine Bar. The decor is cool, the service is always impeccable, and the food is top-notch. They have live music on Thursday and Saturday nights.
