Well the ones I talk to say it's uncomfortable, and I haven't worn a thong per say, but really really tight briefs (for a costume for a play) and they didn't bother me too much...

They can be uncomfortable. Imagine having a string up your butt all day.
They can cause yeast infections. Because they don't allow the woman vagina to breathe properly. LOL, I know that sounds nasty and crazy.
They don't hide all those dent and dimples in fat girls butt like underwear do. I hate to see that when walking down the street.

I wear normal panties under my scrubs because thongs make my butt jiggle, but when I go out it's the thong to do!

If u wear thongs then you can't see your underwear line. I hate seeing underwear lines.

i like them cuz they are more comfortable to wear then regular panties...they don't show panty lines, they cost less! they don't rub any places like under your butt !
