I'm not sure really - I can't quite describe it. However, it is that of a fresh smell - awakens your senses so to speak. There are no obviously dominating smells e.g like that of a BBQ or smoke etc. Nice and different question.

P.S: Hunt down that BBQ now :)

The air is reasonably fresh. The first noticeable scent is fresh cut grass, from neighboring yards. I can also smell a hint of rain that was left to dry up in the humid, warm air. If I venture towards the back of my yard, there I smell the pleasant fragrance of a variety of flowers I've nurtured all Summer! I'd have to say that, in one word, it smells like Summer.

I will spare you the odor that my doggies, unfortunately, created in the front of my yard.

Well, I'm outside now because it's better to type away and play YA while working on a tan ... it's cool (72 degrees), and smells like wet dirt (rained about an hour ago).

I smell freshly-cut grass, the smell of rain (though the sun is peeking through the clouds), and the wicked smell that indicates to me that a stray male cat has marked his territory nearby.

Sea air mixed with a hint of country. (i.e. salty with a dash of grass and flowers)
