Hello, I am supposed to get my period today and I have no symptoms of it coming, except I have been hungry all day, but no cramps. (I have always had very bad cramping before and throughout my period.) I took a HPT today and it was negative. Is it to soon to test?

They say the tests are effective on the 1st day of your missed period. First Response says they can detect a couple days before. Some pregnancies may not show until it is a couple weeks after the missed period as it can vary how quickly the pregnancy hormone grows in your body. I would say take the test every 5 days if you don't get your period. See a doctor if it makes you feel better. Act like you are pregnant incase you are no smoking, drink alcohol, etc.

Good luck

No its not to soon to test, first response detects the hormone five days before you are due on your period. It can be mind over matter as well, if you are anxious to start a family and pregnancy is on your mind that can have an effect on your body and throw your period off. I have not had a period for 81 days and counting (but I have just come off the pill). So relax & don't worry but keep a couple of first response tests handy in the bathroom.

a p. test should come out positive if you are pregnant because it should show on the day of your 1st missed period so you are probably not. Keep trying and you'll get it.

Yes, it's too early at this point! Wait at least a few more days, and you can do a first response test...or one similar to that! Good luck! =)

if it is more than 5 days late that is when to be concerned.

See if your period is on its way by inserting a cotton bud or something
