O.k. I love cheerleading but this year we got a new coach and she is old fashioned. I was on jv and was trying out for varsity, Im bigger than all the other girls on the squad and i think she had a problem with that because she put me back on jv and put girls with lower skill levels than me on varsity.I also remember when she found out i made jv last year she made weird comments about it.
I think it was pure discrimination.

Document your experience, unemotionally, with quotes, etc. Then go to the activities director or principal with your concerns. If she is treating you arbitrarily, she may be doing it to others.

Keep the discussions focused on skills, not emotions. If you can out cheer other cheerleaders, your skills should preside.

Keeping a cool head is key, though. Difficult, but key!

I'll tell you what I think,,,,,,,, I think your coach is a complete witch!!

I used to be a cheerleader a while ago (older now) but through personal experience some of the best cheerleaders were not exactly small. You don't need to be tiny to know how to cheer hard! Don't let someone like that get to you.......it's sad that she has the power to hold you back! She'll get what's coming to her and then you'll have your time to shine..........SMILE!!! She's just a rude witch!!!!!!!

I'd love to make fun of cheerleader too but sadly we don't get them in Europe. I'm sorry it's nothing personal but I think real dancing is just more well not so humiliating

Talk to who is in charge of your athletic department.
It sounds as if you are being treated unfairly.
