The Yankees. I mean I've seen what maybe two or three people with Red Sox caps in my lifetime. I don't think I go a day without seeing some sort of Yankee paraphernalia. I mean people who don't even speak English, let alone understand baseball wear Yankee caps. I don't know if they're fans, I just see what I see. It's kind of like the Chicago Bull fans in the 90's. Where are they now? I've been a Laker fan my entire life from Chamberlain and West, to Kareem and Magic, to Kobe and Shaq, and now just Kobe.

Definitely the Red Sox. When they sucked for 86 years you'd never see that busted "B" on a hat of shirt outside of New England... since they won in '04 they're everywhere. At least the Yankees fans have put up with them losing for the past couple years and haven't gone away.
As for Yankees fans being arrogant... you're right, we are. If your team had 26 championships and the closest competition only had 9 (Cardinals), you'd be pretty arrogant too. They're the most celebrated farnchise in not just baseball, but sports history. Watch them in a couple months when they win # 27.

The Yankees. They are the team that you either love or hate. Many people flock to the Yankees because they are New York, and have won so many titles. I am a Twins and Red Sox fan for many years - the Yankees suck!
The Twins and Red Sox have both won tiles and are no longer cursed or also rans, the Yankees still suck!

The Yankees. They have so many good looking guys on the team that probably half the women who are "Yankees fans" don't even like baseball, they just like the hot guys on the team. The Red Sox don't have ANY good looking guys on their team, so they don't have that problem.

The Yankees, why? because more celebrities (specifically music stars) are Yankee fans and kids want to immitate the celebrities. Sure the sox have James Taylor, Ben Affleck, Katie Couric, and a few others, but very few of the celebrities that are admired by the teenagers today are Sox fans, several however can be seen wearing Yankee Hats... Just watch MTV, well, they don't play music anymore so... who knows?

YANKEES.
They are by far the most famous and historic franchise in any major league sport. By far people that are not true fans can just easily say "I'm a Yankee fan."
Can you blame people being a "poser" for the Yanks? You know damn well that they will never suck; so why not choose the Yankees? And also you don't need to know much about sports to know that the NYY have more championships than anyone else.

The Freaking Red Sox. They have THE most annoying fans in all of sports - even worse than Steeler fans. People seem to root for them because it's the "in" thing to do or because it's the "anti-Yankee" thing to do.

Yankees. They have always been good in recent years, so we'll see how their fans' loyalty is when they start sucking. Which is hopefully soon.
EDIT: Of course, Alex makes a good point, too. I still think there are more Yankees posers that we don't know about yet.
