The ratings were very poor. The XFL was losing money like crazy. They even tried to give any free commercial aitime, but got very few takers. In the end, Vince decided to cut his loses and shut the league down after just 1 season.

Checking the accounts of Blackwater and Halliburton might be a start. Whatever happened to all that cheap oil the Bush Administration promised would flow to our shores once we won the hearts and minds of the Iraqis? So much for Conservative administration policies.

That was the WORST league.....EVER!!!! Vince McMahon should have been ashamed of himself to think that joke of a league would survive. The ratings were so so low.....by the end of the 1st season no one was watching, it was just a big waste of time!!

It sunk like the Titanic, rumors that it was fixed and most of the players were leftovers from the other more popular leagues(like the NFL, AFL, CFL, NFLE).

It bombed in the ratings that's why NBC pulled the plug. It was cool though back then.

i dont know maybe it was too violent back in the day but who cares i got an autograph from one of the players
