DS Lite... Nintendo has the most innovative games right now.

The PS2 is running out of time for things since it is soon to be replaced. But the overall performance of the system and it's games are great, there's at least 10 games out there for everyone on the PS2 in my opinion. Sony is not afraid to stretch the limits when it signs contracts for the games it carries on it's consoles.
As for the DS Lite, it's a much newer system (hand-held obviously, much different from the PS2) but the games selection is rather limited. As I've found Nitendo's consoles either carry rather childish games or extremely bloody games that would give a SWAT team member nightmares. But the battery life is decent and the 2 screens can be a good or bad thing depending on how quickly the person gets used to the setup.

well ps2 is more for like teenagers and up, a nintendo ds has games that are more like for kids like mario and stuff like that. PS2 defenitly has more variety of games though.......they are both fun, i would go for a nintendo ds cuz anyways the ps3 will be coming out soon and the ds has cute games and its portable

both if allowed but if u can only get one go for the slim ps2 and a capable portable dvd player thats the way to go, so its portable like the DS, but u get tons more games and they all fit into cargo pants pockets!,
u might have a hard time finding the DVD player with input slots.
i found one a Best buy

ds lite. because it is better and cheaper. but the game are really expensive. like $16.00-$35.00. that is a lot of money for a game.

i would say u take takeps2 i also have see if u can buy big ps2 not slim ps2 cause slim ps2 have problems wit lenes
