Get UHF....It's hilarious! It's one of my favorite movies.

It stars "Weird Al" Yankovic, it's very original, and it has a good plot.

My fav films that I can think of right now:
Lost in Translation. Slow, thoughtful. Not much happens but the soundtrack is brillmill if you like My Bloody Valentine-esque music.

Lars Von Triers 'Dogville' is like reading a book. The story is a simple but highly believable explores how a village adopt a mysterious woman (nicole kidman), and how they slowley take advantage of her misfortunate situation and end up turning themselves into, and make a monster. The whole set is in one large room, painted black. See from above, the are houses walls are taped out in white with no physical borders, but the actors use these markers as if they were real walls. Very strange sort of film, but i thoroughly enjoyed it.

Have you seen City of God? Its very worthwhile.
'cigarettes and coffee' is alright. A series of small individual films all on th theme of cigarettes and coffee starring a range of stars including meg and jack from the white stripes, kate blanchett, Bill Murray and Steve Coogan. Filmed over decades it is a bit hit and miss but atleast you know that each segment will shortly be replaced vy the next. Steve Coogan is especially hilarious.
That'll do for now, let me know whT you pick!

It's mad, mad, mad, mad, world, is one of funniest movies I have ever seen. Ask for it by name. 1963
Somewhere in the desert. A car speeds like crazy along the roads. Suddenly, the driver loses control and sails off a cliff. Four other vehicles are near, they stop to help. The dying man narrates the drivers of a fortune in cash, $350,000, which he has hidden below a giant "W" in Santa Rosita, some 200 miles away. The four drivers and their respective passengers can't decide on how to share the future fortune, and suddenly a wild race to Santa Rosita develops. While one party manages to rent a plane (from 1916), the others face different problems like tire damage, untrustworthy lifts, deep water, drunken millionaires, a British adventurer, little girl's bicycles, and last but far not least a mother-in-law from hell and her imbecile son. While the folks slowly travel towards the goal, they are being watched. Who ever said that nobody else knew about the fortune?

I loved , love and always will love "Legends of the Fall". I have no idea if you've seen it but if you haven't its a really good movie. It has action, love, betrayal, drama, everything you can ask for in a movie. It has a great cast as well. Anthony Hopkins, Brad Pitt, and Aidan Quinn to name the big stars.
